The decision to homeschool, no matter what your personal reason is, is a decision based on intention and values. At Rise, view homeschooling as a commitment to seeing our kids for who they are and matching them with educational opportunities that help them shine.
Nestled at our home base in Minot, Maine, we offer homeschool enrichment classes that are holistic and nature based, and that build confident, independent thinking kids who are ready to bring their magic to the world.
Our homeschool classes offer lessons that incorporate hands on learning, movement, projects, and fun. Classes build in time for outdoor play and community time no matter what the season is, with most classes being held entirely outdoors in warmer seasons. Class topics rotate seasonally, and are guided by our core values.
Classes run during the school year from September- June, and in the Summer from June-August.

When I asked our students what they wanted to learn about this fall, I got an almost unanimous response instantly: ANIMALS! Who doesn’t love learning about the incredible creatures on this Earth? In this class, we will travel around the world studying animals- their habitats, adaptations, what makes them unique.
We will learn through stories, art projects, and hands-on learning. We will even sneak in some live animals to meet and learn from!

Through hands-on projects, sketchbook work, and artistic exploration, students will develop skills, confidence, and a deeper appreciation for creativity.
Classes encourage curiosity, self-expression, and the joy of making things with our hands. We will learn through stories, art projects, and hands-on learning.
Art Adventures
Ages 6-10
“Art is a place for you to learn to trust your own ideas.” -Unknown
In this art class, we will learn about many famous artists and will be immersed in a variety of art mediums and artistic styles. Each week, students will delight in new stories, materials, and invitations to create! This class weaves together history, loads of color and texture, confidence building, creativity, and connection.
Road Trip Across the States
Ages 6-12
Join us for a road trip across the United States, minus the actual driving! Each week, we will be exploring one of our great states! We will learn about what makes each state unique: the landscape, waters, traditions, resources and more! We will read stories, make art, and do hands on projects that help us truly appreciate each state!
Entrepreneurship
Ages 10+
Entrepreneurship isn’t just for seasoned professionals, and it’s not even just for adults. In this class, teens will build a deeper understanding of what their strengths and passions are and how those can be meaningfully applied in a business. Entrepreneurship offers youth the opportunity to build confidence, passion, problem solving skills, financial literacy, and a growth mindset. We will learn from great business leaders, build confidence in our skills and interests and identify how those intersect with the needs of the community. From there, students will learn how to build their own business plans and will have the opportunity to share their gifts with the community in an end of year Market!
Homesteading
Ages 10+
Homesteading can teach us so much: how to build sovereignty and grit, be resourceful, work in harmony with Mother Nature, and more! In this class, students will be working as a team on projects that teach about how to live independently and resourcefully with the land. Projects will teach students how to work collaboratively in a group, build carpentry skills, how to raise farm animals for food, tap maple trees, and so much more!
Our Homesteading Class is great for outdoor enthusiasts who are ready to learn by doing meaningful projects.
U.S History

Embark on a journey with us as we go back in time to explore the events and philosophies that have shaped the United States of America!

Strong Minds, Able Bodies
Ages 6-11
How our children see the world and themselves in it is central to their emotional health and wellbeing. This class is about creating a space where kids can build self-confidence and a growth mindset.
